Technopark in the field of biotechnology will be built by 2015 in Koltsovo near Novosibirsk. As reported by ITAR-TASS Economic Development Minister of the Region Alex Strukov expected to form in Technopark two Biocenters. Their design will be started this month. One of biocenters will focus on the experimental production of bacterial medicines, the second on the study of viruses. In addition, it is planned to manufacture a unique product "Trombovazim” for strengthening and improvement of blood vessels. Total volume of investments, partially - the state ones, but mainly - private, in the creation of a specialized technopark is estimated at 8 billion rubles. The corresponding target program for 2011-2015 was approved by the Government of the Novosibirsk Region. In January 2003, Koltsovo became the first science city in Siberia. Currently, it continues to develop. Science City mayor Nikolai Krasnikov said to ITAR-TASS news agency that local innovative companies and firms released high-tech products for over 3.8 billion rubles in 2010, which is 300 million rubles more than a year earlier. "Basically its biotech products: vaccines, reagents for the diagnosis of human diseases, veterinary drugs, medical-preventive foods" - said Krasnikov. Research and production base of science city and the future biotechnopark is located here State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology "Vector", one of the largest in its field in Russia.
